Just wanted to log in to say hi! This month I have been writing my forthcoming book at an artist residency located in a magical village called Ii. I truly believe time is different here. Different than anywhere else I have ever been. Kind of kinder, or something ❤️ Thank you KulttuuriKauppila for showing me so much love during all these years, and treating me like one of your own. It has always been good to be here. ⭐️

YES, we are proud to tell you we have signed a publishing contract with S&S to share our story. The book will include our artworks, but also the first decade’s journey. There will be a lot of new photos and behind-the-scenes material including texts written by both of us ✌️😃✌️ ✌️😃✌️
The book will be out in autumn 2023!

Aki and Astrid Sinikoski’s photo series New Ghosts portrays the relationship between father and daughter and their attempts to understand life, change, and the passage of time.
Father and daughter have planned and made the photo series together as an artist duo since 2011. It will be published as a whole in 2058 when Aki turns 80 and Astrid is 50.
I’m super happy and proud that my debut book has been released in Estonia by a big local publishing house. I haven’t got my copy yet, but it feels amazing to see these photos from some bloggers & the publisher. I’m also happy about how they have used my art photos to promote this book. First I was kind of wondering why, but after a short moment, I realized that maybe there are some similarities between the characters in the story and my photos. It’s kind of funny how long it took for me to notice that. 😀

My debut book Under the Moon (Kuun valossa/Under månen) is going to be published in Estonia! The book is illustrated by Ilja Karsikas And guess what – the saga will continue as we are working on the follower for the first book. I hope it’s going to be published at the end of next year.

Yey!!! My first children’s book is out now!!! Here in Finland it’s published in Swedish (Under månen) by Schildts & Söderströms and in Finnish (Kuun valossa) by S & S.

Here in Finland the book is going to be published not only in Swedish (by Schildts & Söderströms) but also in Finnish (by S & S) during the spring 2020. The book is illustrated by iljakarsikas – one of the most talented illustrators in Finland. So stay tuned. I think you will love it. 😊
Boom! I have news for you. I have written a children’s book and the super duper @iljakarsikas is doing illustrations for it. It’s going to be published by @schildtssoderstroms and @kustantamossa both in Swedish (Under månen) and in Finnish (Kuun valossa) simultaniously in spring 2020.
